CEO of Audi Cars owned by Volkswagen has been arrested in Germany as part of an investigation into emissions cheating in all countries. Rupert Stadler, who has worked for Audi parent company Volkswagen since 1990 a criminal investigation into potential fraud by 20 current or former Audi employees including Stadler. The case is related to suspected emissions cheating in million diesel cars sold in the United States, China, India and Europe,
Volkswagen group admitted in 2015 to equipping some 15 million diesels worldwide with "cheat devices" designed to dupe pollution tests German authorities earlier this month ordered the recall of some 90,000 Audi A6 and A7 cars across Europe to remove illegal emissions control software. Same should be followed across the world soon.
Its scandal has so far cost the Volkswagen group more than 25 billion euros in buybacks, fines and compensation, and the company remains mired in legal woes at home and abroad.
Stop buying Volkswagen cars including Audi, BMW and any german cars until further notice.
